The comfort of premium sheepskin is becoming a year-round phenomenon. Emu Australia unveiled its first range of spring/summer slippers for women and it’s first-ever line of children’s slippers during FFANY (June 7-9).
The highlight in the Spring ’17 slipper collection, a range of palm frond printed slides and moccasins lined with sheepskin, sum up the blending of seasons. The lively tropical print, offered in black or white, is a proprietary design for the brand. The print is featured across the brand’s line of espadrille-inspired sneakers and is used in the lining of shoes for a pop of color.
Suede moccasins round out the rest of the slipper collection. Mocs are lightened up with perfs and subtle hints of silver and gold sparkle. Other styles offer a more classical take on the moc slipper with suede uppers in soothing shades of sand, seafoam and ocean blue.
Emu carries that soft suede story into children’s slippers. The brand reinterpreted its bestselling moccasin construction for kids, focusing on rose, tan, navy and seafoam colorways. Kids’ slippers will retail for $50-$60.
