Fashion to Figure is feting fall’s arrival with a second boot drop inspired by a top influencer in the size-inclusive and body-positivity movement.
On Friday, the fast-fashion labeled previously owned by bankrupt RTW Retailwinds unveiled four thigh-high boots in collaboration with plus-size model and social personality Nadia Aboulhosn. The latest capsule builds on their inaugural go-around last year, when Fashion to Figure channeled Aboulhosn’s style cues to create a capsule of footwear ranging from booties and zebra-striped heels to “best-selling” thigh-high boot silhouettes featuring peep-toe details and eye-catching snakeskin prints. This year’s offering maintains the animal-print momentum, wrapping the leg-hugging boots in snake and leopard prints, in addition to the classic staple colors of chocolate brown and black suede.
In a statement, Aboulhosn said she “challenged” herself to “perfect the plus-size thigh-high boot silhouette,” catering to women who may have a difficult time fitting their larger legs into styles from conventional footwear brands that fit a certain size and aesthetic. The collection, she added, merges “luxe colors, prints and textures” with “literally the most perfect heel height”—a 3-inch stiletto—and a lace-up closure that adjusts to a variety of calf widths.
Designed specifically for the plus-size shopper, all boots in the Nadia Aboulhosn x Fashion to Figure capsule are available in wide widths in sizes 7W-12W, retailing for $129.95 on www.fashiontofigure.com.
