For the collaboration, Ducati opened it archives to Fiorentini + Baker’s creative team so that they could capture the essence of the motorcycle brand. The result is a co-branded collection that blends Ducati’s classic motorcycle design with the vintage feel and natural leathers—brushed and greased to highlight artisan finishes—that are synonymous with Fiorentini + Baker.
The collection consists of five boots and two sneakers for men and women, and carries the dual logo of both brands. Standout styles include a classic motorcycle boot with a typical bolster tip, combined with lateral buckles that are as functional as they are fashionable. Other styles include a black leather side zip sneaker/bootie and a traditional lace-up with a double buckle above the ankle.
Baker’s interest in motorcycles extends back to childhood. “I have always been drawn to motorbikes because my father was a collector and a restorer of vintage motorcycles,” she said in a statement. “Living and working in Bologna I always knew about Ducati and its iconic motorbikes, so to collaborate with them designing a biker boot collection in our classic Fiorentini + Baker style, has been a dream and a great experience.”
The Ducati x Fiorentini + Baker collection lands in every Fiorentini + Baker flagship store in Bologna, London, New York and Los Angeles on Oct. 2. The line will also be sold in select boutiques in 22 countries around the world. Additionally, Ducati is set to release a boot with Australian brand Blundstone in September to mark the relaunch of its iconic Scrambler motorbike.
