Flower Power: Rider Sandals Teams Up with Artist Colleen Wilcox

What are the pains and actions brands across the industry are taking to try and become consumer-led? Join our webinar "Consumer-Led Retail: Optimizing Assortments at Speed" Sept 28th, featuring experts from MakerSights and DTC brand Taylor Stitch.

Rider Sandals is collaborating with Honolulu-based artist Colleen Wilcox on new styles for their women’s line. Wilcox’s paintings depict vibrant island life with a whimsical twist.

Wilcox, a Rider ambassador since 2014, designed two flip-flop styles: one with a colorful floral sole and a second with a wedge heel decorated with a more subtle floral pattern. The sandals will be part of Rider’s 2016 line, which will be available later this year.

In a press release, Wilcox said, “I love the idea of my artwork literally going along on the journey with Rider’s active, adventurous customers as they explore life.”

Rider sandals are designed to feel like walking barefoot, with soles made to conform to the wearer’s foot and accommodate their natural gait. Wilcox’s styles will be part of the brand’s 2016 line, which will be available in Winter 2015 and on the Rider website.
