In the brand’s first television commercial, Stuart Weitzman will prove that his shoes were made for dancing, as Gisele Bunchen slips on her boogie booties for the spot’s premiere during the Video Music Awards on August 30.
The black-and-white commercial is directed by fashion photographer Mario Testino and tells the story of the brand’s connection to dance and music. The spot is a 30-second cut of the brand’s music video “Make That Move,” which will launch on the brand’s site and social media channels.
Kicking off Fall ’15 boot season, Bunchen wears the stretch leather Koko booties and does the Electric Slide with an all-male troupe of dancers. The commercial will feature an upbeat title track from recording artist and model Maluca Mala.
The commercial is a tribute to the brand’s connections to the music industry and a way to connect back to the award show. The brand has built a reputation for creating custom tour shoes for the likes of Beyonce and Taylor Swift.
