Jambu Gears Up for “Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree” Campaign

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Jambu shoes and Sahalie catalog are teaming up to plant trees. The men’s and women’s footwear brand, a division of Vida Shoes will work with Sahalie, part of the Orchards Brands family of catalogs, announced the April launch of “Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree.” The campaign will pledge $1.00 to American forests for each pair of Jambu shoes purchased through Sahalie from April through July 2015.

The campaign is part of Jambu’s commitment to plant more than 100,000 trees through American Forests’ Global ReLeaf Program. Based in Washington, D.C., American Forests is the oldest national conservation nonprofit in the U.S.

Sahalie’s April catalog will feature a variety of Jambu styles, including the Rosie, a sustainable design with biodegradable outsoles, canvas uppers and other organic materials. Jambu’s Fall/Winter and Spring ’15 lines include cross-generational styles influenced by environmental preservation.

“For the past 10 years, Sahalie and Jambu have shared a unique eco-conscious and socially responsible consumer base who embrace outdoor living and are passionate about preserving our natural resources for the next generation,” said Yetzalee Mazza, director of marketing for Jambu. “This campaign gives consumers an opportunity to invest in fashion for a cause.”
