Joy & Mario Launch WWF Capsule Collection

Espadrille specialist Joy & Mario are joining paws with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) for two limited edition capsule collections for spring inspired by the endangered animals the organization is works to save.

The first collection includes four classic espadrille silhouettes with bold black and white uppers featuring gorilla, panda, tiger and zebra graphics. Each shoe is fitted with the brand’s signature jute midsole, jute infused rubber bottom and a unique chunky animal foot print bottom design which extrudes from the sole.


The second three-piece collection is based on more traditional animal prints, like leopard and tiger, with a hint of shimmer. A standout is an electric blue leopard print slip-on.

Joy & Mario donated $75,000 to support and highlight WWF’s global conversation efforts, a mission close to the eco-conscious footwear label. At FFANY in New York (June 2-4), National Sales Manager Peter Davis said the brand takes the most sustainability route possible to make its footwear using hand-sewn and hand-stitching practices instead of glues.
