Marc Fisher is celebrating women who make an impact with the help of supermodel and Fall ’15 campaign ‘It’ girl Karlie Kloss. The company is launching #MAKEYOURMARC, a social media and giveback platform aimed to inspire, recognize and help fund activities of female role models who are making a social difference.
The platform is being introduced in tandem with Marc Fisher’s first namesake footwear collection. With every purchase of the Netty boot, Tammy pump and Yale Chelsea boot, the company will donate $20 to Kloss’ Kode With Karlie initiative aimed to encourage young women to learn to code. Additionally for every photo or post on Instagram or Twitter with the designated hashtag, #MAKEYOURMARC, $1 will be donated.
The funds provided by #MAKEYOURMARC will be used toward creating programs for high school students and additional scholarships through the Flatiron School with the contribution supporting education around coding.
The #MAKEYOURMARC platform will also recognize and bring financial support to women who are making a difference in their communities. Women can nominate themselves or someone who inspires them on the Marc Fisher Footwear website. Nominees will be selected throughout the year to receive grants to support their efforts and Marc Fisher will share their stories on the brand’s website and social channels to raise awareness for their work.
