In an effort to meet its retail, wholesale and eventual e-commerce needs overseas, Michael Kors announced Friday plans to break ground next month on a distribution center in Trade Port North in Venlo, Netherlands.

The state-of-the-art, 1,000-square-foot facility will be designed by Dutch firm DENC. It will be the largest distribution center in Venlo, planned to accommodate Michael Kors’ projected growth for the next 10 years.

The facility, expected to create approximately 400 jobs in the region, will be outfitted with a host of green features, including LED interior lighting and a solar-panel roof.
