Mr Porter Adds Footwear and Accessories to Own-Label Brand, Mr P.

Mr Porter’s proprietary Mr P. label will include footwear and accessories as part of its September collection.

The label, which is primarily focused on essential, ready-to-wear offerings, is exclusive to the Mr Porter website. The new additions have been designed in conjunction with Mr P.’s expected season-specific lineups and abide by the same design principles as other Mr P. products, “easy pieces, smart details and enduring style,” according to a press release.

Mr P. footwear will include both casual and formal styles, including classics like loafers, derby shoes and white leather sneakers. Those styles will be expanded upon during the winter season when consumers will be able to choose from warmer alternatives like lace-up boots, suede desert boots and shearling-lined walking boots.

“I am very excited to showcase Mr P.’s first ever footwear range,” Mr Porter style director Olie Arnold said in a statement. “We have worked endlessly to source the best manufacturer to work with to master the shoes’ design and quality, and we are thrilled with the outcome.”

Alongside its shoes, Mr P. will introduce a full range of socks that incorporates both cotton and “heavy-gauge” seasonal styles that are designed to be worn with cold-weather footwear.

“This September drop is Mr P.’s fifth collection and I am proud of how the brand has grown during this time. Introducing footwear is a significant moment for us and I am delighted to share the results,” buying director Fiona Firth said about the collection.

Mr P. will also launch five styles of scarves for autumn available in twill check, double-faced check and oversized navy wool and cashmere with crimped detailing. The twill check will be available in both blue and rust while the double-faced check will be carried in mustard and green.

Including footwear and accessories, the label plans to release 46 new pieces next month that take their inspiration from “globe-trotting artists and photographers.” The September offering will also consist of outerwear, knitwear and sportswear as the cold months close in. In addition, all options found in the new collection have been designed to supplement and coexist with the 29 existing “core staples” within the Mr P. label, available year-round.

Mr P. can only be found on MrPorter.com, the home of online-only retailer Mr Porter, and has served as its sole in-house brand since 2017. Mr Porter is part of the U.K./Italian conglomerate Yoox Net-A-Porter Group.
