Nike Drops Crystal-Studded Dunk With Cactus Plant Flea Market

What do the Travis Scott, the Grateful Dead and Ben & Jerry’s have in common? They each have collaborated with Nike this year to give their take on the footwear giant’s Dunk—named Footwear News’ shoe of the year.

Joining them Wednesday will be Cactus Plant Flea Market, a rising star on the streetwear scene.

The Nike x Cactus Plant Flea Market Dunk Low toys with the interplay among air, sunshine and shoe through a “dynamic” light refraction created with Swarovski crystals. Cactus Plant Flea Market’s Dunk features an oversized Swoosh borrowed from another Nike collaboration, 2019’s Nike Blazer Cactus Plant Flea Market Sponge By You. The sneaker also features extra padding on the tongue and detachable double lace flaps.

Cactus Plant Flea Market designed a hooded pullover to accompany its Dunk

The Nike x Cactus Plant Flea Market Dunk Low with Swarovski crystals releases Nov. 18, along with the Nike x Cactus Plant Flea Market Just Do It hoodie with Swarovski crystals, at cactusplantfleamarket.com.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market Dunk will arrive just days after Boston-based Concepts releases its latest take on the classic at its Boston and New York stores. Keeping with its now annual tradition of Dunk releases, the Concepts x Nike SB Dunk High TurDUNKen continues the retailer’s tongue-in-cheek streak. Emulating the infamous turducken—a dish consisting of a chicken stuffed into a duck stuffed into a turkey—the product will include Nike Dri-FIT chicken feet socks, a duck-inspired Dunk and turkey wrapping paper.
