Wear your heart on your, err, sneakers. Converse has partnered with Comme des Garcons Play for the fourth time for a premium collection of Chuck Taylor All Star ’70 sneakers featuring the Japanese label’s quirky heart motif.
The Spring ’15 collection offers four exclusive versions of the sneaker in Converse’s high-top and low-cut silhouettes, updated with heavy grade black and milk canvas uppers, a smaller toe box and higher midsoles finished in solid white. The sneakers are punched up with nickel hardware and thick cotton laces. Comme des Garcons’ iconic red heart logo, created by New York-based graphic artist Filip Pagowski, peeks from the midsoles.
Early birds can get the kicks on May 14 at Dover Street Market stores in London and New York, on Dover Street Market’s website and at Comme des Garcons’ New York location. The line, retailing for $125, will roll out to other retail partners on May 15.
