Perfect Pair: Manolo Blahnik and Falke Launch Unisex Sock Line

Join Sourcing Journal on March 13th HKT for Sourcing Summit Hong Kong for discussions on mending relationships between supply chain partners, remaking factories for smaller MOQs and faster turns, and creating resilience to survive the next inevitable crisis.

Manolo Blahnik may be better known for slinky stilettos and sandals, but for spring the luxury footwear designer teamed up with German sock manufacturer Falke to design a limited collection of unisex socks.

The collection consists of three unisex styles: a ribbed heather gray sock adorned with pink pompoms; a pale pink and fuchsia polka dot sock inspired by a dress worn by Blahnik’s mother; and a sporty ivory sock with Blahnik’s favorite quote ‘Keep Going’ embroidered in pink.

A fan of fancy socks himself, Blahnik said, “I am very excited about this collaboration. Socks connect your feet with the clothes you are wearing and can make a punctuating statement.” He added, “Playing with patterns and textures is a lot of fun. And I love when women wear socks with high heels!”

The collection is sold exclusively on Because magazine’s new e-commerce venture for about $37 and is the first product to be sold on the site.
