The capsule’s camo-covered Instapump Fury will mark the first time BAPE has offered its take on the distinctive silhouette. The collection will also include the label’s third rendition of Reebok’s Club C 85.
The Reebok x BAPE Instapump Fury mixes a traditional green-and-brown camo design with blue, purple, orange and red variations of the classic military print. The shoe also includes other new design elements such as BAPE’s signature ape head placed on the silhouette’s signature “Pump.” The Club C 85, meanwhile, keeps much of the sneaker style’s traditional elements while adding red and blue stitching and the BAPE STA logo.
The Club C and Instapump Fury will retail for $150 and $200, respectively. They will release globally at BAPE stores and on BAPE’s website Saturday, before dropping on Reebok.com and at select retailers Jan. 21. Recording artist Bryson Tiller will lead Reebok’s professional campaign, alongside label mates Ryan Trey and Nia Sultana.
BAPE’s Reebok collaboration will arrive three months after its team-up with the sneaker and streetwear marketplace Stadium Goods. The collection included specially branded editions of the classic BAPE STA and last year’s SK8 STA. Only available in limited quantities and for a limited time, the drop marked Stadium Goods’ first-ever sneaker release.
Last month, Reebok prepared for the new year by reuniting with another past collaborator, Cardi B. The “Let Me Be…In My World Nighttime” range showcased metallic styles and detailing riffing on the Manhattan skyline and bright lights. The collection included a new take on the Cardi B Classic Leather sneaker, as well as high-shine apparel styles, including tight fitted crop tops and tights, oversized cargo pants and a fleece robe featuring the rapper-turned-Playboy creative director’s signature logo.
