Reebok has been busy updating its fashion profile in footwear and apparel, with three launches or additional offerings introduced in the past week.
Reebok released the latest colorways in the Zig Kinetica franchise “City Camo.” The Zig Kinetica, which launched earlier this year, fuses elevated street-style and advanced sport tech.
The new group collection takes that a step ahead by channeling energy from the city to the Zig Energy Shell. The result is a range of tonal, city-inspired colors with a special camo pattern overlay to help navigate the day-to-day grind.
“We wanted to create a collection for the new generation of daily commuters–something clean and simple enough to wear with almost anything, but with just enough detail to make it stand out at the same time,” said Greg Korbas, director of product marketing at Reebok. “Black and gray uppers draw inspiration from the darker neutral tones of the city streets, while the ‘concrete camo’ is a nod to the hustle of the city.”
Building upon its earlier Fall-Winter 2020 Zig Kinetica releases, Reebok has continued its partnership with cyberpunk artist Mad Dog Jones to bring the campaign to life through an imagined alternate universe. Drawing inspiration from nature, Mad Dog Jones placed the shoes on surreal, illustrated backdrops that are a blend of the cyber world and in-person environments.
“I like to focus on building environments that bend reality,” the artist said of his work with Reebok. “The challenge is bringing in all elements of a cyber world together without cluttering the composition.”
The Reebok Zig Kinetica City Camo collection is available in unisex sizes for $120.
Reebok also debuts an apparel collection to cater to customers’ cold weather needs. Dubbed Battle the Elements, the line was designed to help people weather the rain, sleet, hail and snow without sacrificing style.

“The apparel pieces in Battle the Elements mirror the increasingly versatile modern lifestyle,” Barbara Ebersberger, vice president of product apparel at Reebok, said. “The mix of utilitarian details and colors, as well as the transparent layering pieces add a certain texture, depth and bounding sense of energy that can take you anywhere you want to go.”
The collection comes in men’s and women’s styles and features water-resistant fabrics throughout. The capsule also includes a new version of Reebok’s Thermowarm Deltapeak, a double-layered fabric that creates a lightweight warming effect without the traditional bulk. This latest technology is constructed with a woven fabric to give the pieces added wind and water protection to carry through winter.
Paired with the apparel, Battle the Elements features select footwear including the Zig Kinetica Edge. This reimagined version of Reebok’s signature Zig Kinetica is updated with a water-resistant treatment and trail lug outsole to allow a seamless transition from the city to the mountains.
Reebok’s Battle of the Elements collection is globally available now in men’s and women’s sizes on Reebok.com.
In addition, Reebok officially released its collection with contemporary men’s wear designer Angus Chiang. The line, comprised of three colorways of the Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 2, was initially revealed during Paris Fashion Week earlier this year.
The Angus Chiang designed Reebok Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 2 is heavily inspired by the first-generation digital era. The footwear styles are a merger of loud Reebok designs and Chiang’s bold color blockings that are a key pillar of his work. Playing with the idea of clashing harmonization, the materials used, such as corduroy, leather and canvas, make for an elevated look and feel that comes together despite the different components used.
The Zig Kinetica Concept_Type 2 is a luxe spin on Reebok’s innovative original Zig Kinetica. On top of the fashion-forward silhouette, the sneaker contains innovative cushioning for springy responsiveness.
The Angus Chiang-designed Reebok Zig Kinetica Concept Type_2 will be available in three colorways: white/red/black, yellow/white/black and blue green/white. The Reebok x Angus Chiang Zig Kientica Concept_Type 2 will be available in unisex sizing beginning Oct. 9 on Anguschiang.com and select retailers for $140.
