Stuart Weitzman has proven once again that less is more. Super model Gisele Bundchen stars in the footwear brand’s Spring ’15 ad campaign in just a pair of wide leg wool suit pants and strappy Stuart Weitzman heels. Bundchen channels her inner “sexy tomboy” dressed in white button-down shirts and flat boots in other photos.
Photographed by Mario Testino, the tone of the campaign is “borrowed from the boys”, concentrating on being feminine yet masculine, subtle yet sexy.
The stark campaign is on trend with others to have hit the glossy pages of fashion magazines for the 2015 season. Steven Meisel’s campaign for Prada Resort ’15 captures moody models in black and white, while Mert & Marcus shot Julia Roberts for Givenchy and Madonna for Versace in understated stories.
Bundchen, who debuted as the face of Stuart Weitzman brand in the Fall ’14 advertising campaign, was chosen because of her international fashion icon status and her unique ability to personify the multi-facets of the Stuart Weitzman woman, from fashion-forward trendsetter to sophisticated tomboy to multi-tasking mom to the quintessential girl-next-door. With her lithe physique, bronzed skin and tousled golden locks, the company said Bundchen personifies the “confidence, empowerment, beauty and ease women feel the moment they slip into their Stuart Weitzman shoes.”
The Stuart Weitzman campaign will launch internationally in the US, Italy, France, England, Dubai, Germany, Spain, and Asia with billboards and kiosks across Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Paris, and Hong Kong.
