Good Sport: Sebago Debuts Line for the Active Sailor

Sebago will begin Spring ’17 with the addition of the Cyphon Sea collection, a line of men’s and women’s performance footwear with cross channeled circulation (C3) technology designed to force water out and pull air in.

The three-piece collection, which the brand debuted at FFANY (June 7-9), is geared toward end users with an active marine lifestyle. With each step, water entering the shoe is pushed through a mesh covered, perforated footbed, while channels running through the midsole and outsole keep feet dry.

No-sew mesh uppers, Lycra-lined collars, removable molded EVA footbeds and shock absorbing midsoles ensure a comfortable fit and give the line its athletic appearance. Rubber outsoles with aggressive, channel-siped design for slip-resistance provide grip and stability.

The collection includes a sporty fisherman sandal and two sneaker silhouettes, the Sport with a more athletic aesthetic and the Tech, a sneaker with additional support and stability. Each shoe has an easy on/off bungee lacing, and comes in sea faring shades of red, navy, black and white.

Sebago believes in C3 technology in a big way. The brand will also introduce the Cyphon Stream collection for spring, a two-piece range of men’s footwear with more traditional Sebago styling.
