Sperry Stirs Up Summer Vibes with Gray Malin Collaboration

If a picture says a thousand words, then Sperry’s new collaboration with contemporary photographer Gray Malin tells a whirlwind story about some of the most beautiful beaches across the world.

Sperry, which was recently refreshed with a new logo and youth-focused Spring ’15 campaign, launched an exclusive collection of men’s and women’s footwear that combines four of the brand’s iconic silhouettes with three of Malin’s aerial photographs which were taken from a helicopter on recent adventures to Portugal, Sicily and South Africa.

The inspiration for the collection came during a shoot. Malin was wearing his own Sperry’s and took a shot of his feet hanging out of the helicopter. “I thought why not put the images onto the shoes,” he explained.

The collection includes men’s and women’s Authentic Original boat shoe with a multi-color beach print snapped above Lisbon, a black and white unisex CVO sneaker with beach umbrella print from Sicily, and a men’s CVO slip-on sneaker with a turquoise ocean print taken above the waters of Capetown. The line retails for $75-$88 and is available on Sperry.com and in select Sperry retail stores.
