Sports Authority Launches Digital Partnership with Under Armour

Sports Authority announced a partnership with Under Armour through the brand’s MapMyFitness platform. Members of its loyalty program, The League, can now gain rewards by completing activities within the app.

The first launch for the partnership will be an interactive challenge for Under Armour Connected Fitness users. The challenge, called “Back on Track,” calls for members to log three workouts or 10 miles a week in order to have a chance to win a $500 Sports Authority gift card.

Warren Kay, Under Armour vice president of advertising, said, “This loyalty program showcases the capabilities of the MapMyFitness platform, providing our growing community with the opportunity to earn rewards through an active lifestyle.”

He added, “Sports Authority is a trusted retail partner of Under Armour and our brands share a mission to empower athletes worldwide – through both footwear and apparel and the digital tools to manage their health and fitness.”

The MapMyFitness app is available at the App Store and Google Play.
