For the fifth consecutive year, Ugg partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to raise money for the organization through a holiday register drive. The fundraiser collected $125,000 in donations from Nov. 27- Dec. 31, 2014.
To date, the Deckers Brand-owned company has raised $573,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America through annual initiatives implemented at all 46 of its North American concept stores and outlets. The Boys & Girls Club of American provides tools for children to achieve academic success, good character and citizenship, with an emphasis on leading healthy lifestyles. Four million children use the 4,000-plus clubs a year.
Ugg president Connie Rishwain said, “Watching this initiative grow and gain momentum over the past five years has been incredibly rewarding, not just for our employees but for all of our Ugg consumers who continually support this charity from around the country.
She added, “It’s an opportunity that allows our customers and retail teams to give back to children who are most in need and so to see that we have now raised over half a million dollars for such a worthy cause is extremely overwhelming.”
