Hoping to keep toes warm this winter season, Vans has released an updated collection of its Mountain Edition footwear and apparel line. In hues of black leather, honey leather, and pewter wool, the Mountain Edition collection boasts retooled silhouettes and details designed with the elements in mind.
In footwear, Scotchgard-coated uppers, warm linings and a heat retention layer between the sockliner and outsole keep the foot warm in cold conditions, while a vulcanized outsole provides traction ideal for a variety of outdoor activities. Additionally, the women’s version of the brand’s Sk8-Hi MTE shoe comes in two new colors – black and khaki – and is outfitted with suede uppers and woven chevron collar detailing.
Vans moves beyond footwear and into men’s apparel with a series of treated outerwear pieces. The collection includes jackets, shirt jackets and fleeces coated with durable water replant to keep the wearer dry in all conditions. Select pieces from the apparel capsule are insulated with lightweight PrimaLoft fibers for added warmth, breathability and water resistance.
