Vibram is asking users to put their footwear to the ultimate test. The performance sole manufacturer announced the opening of the Vibram Antarctica Marathon Sweepstakes, which will send one winner with two all-expenses paid excursions to compete in the 2015 Antarctica Marathon on March 9, 2015.
Entrants can enter the sweepstakes at VibramAntarticaMarathon.com. There are no qualifications to enter the contest, but participants are strongly encouraged to have marathon and endurance race experience. The winner will be announced on Twitter (@Vibram) and on other social media outlets on Jan. 22.
The Antarctica Marathon racecourse is 26.2 miles long, covering the hilly gravel roads of King George Island on the Antarctica Peninsula. Race-day temperatures range from 15 to 34 degrees Fahrenheit with wind-gusts that can reach 40 mph.
Vibram CMO Allon Cohne said, “With more than 70 years of trusted technology and quality behind Vibram soles on their feet, we look forward to being an integral part of our winner’s journey to conquer the treacherous terrain of the Antarctica Marathon.”
