Vionic Group gifted 1,000 pairs of Relax Luxe slippers with Orthaheel orthotic technology to participants of the annual Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer on July 11 in San Francisco as they crossed the finish line. Thousands of participants walked 39 miles over the course of two days to raise awareness for breast cancer research.
The giveaway was part of Vionic Group’s charitable giving program, Vionic Supports. It was the comfort footwear company’s first time sponsoring the event. Since 2003, the Avon Walk to End Breast Cancer has raised over $500 million for breast cancer treatment and research.
Vionic Group CEO Chris Gallagher said events like the Avon walk are important for the company to support, not only as a way to give back to the community, but to support causes like breast cancer research that affect so many families.
He added, “I hope that while our gift is simple, it proves to be meaningful as well. The fact that we’re able to help keeps the whole Vionic team happy and drives us to keep creating life-changing footwear.”
