Luxury hosiery brand Wolford AG named fashion specialist Ashish Sensarma its new CEO. Starting Jan. 7, 2015, Sensarma will oversee Wolford’s marketing, sales and the coordination of its corporate strategy.
Sensarma brings with him over 30 years of retail industry experience, including 20 years at Mexx, where he grew the company into a 400 million euros (about $4.9 million) business with over 300 stores. He left the apparel company in 2006. Most recently he served as COO of luxury swimwear brand Vilebrequin.
Wolford chairwoman of the supervisory board Dr. Antonella Mei-Pochtler said, “We are very pleased that Ashish Sensarma, a world-class fashion expert with strong retail credentials, will join the board in January.” She added, “His proficiency in driving profitable growth and passion for creating consumer satisfaction are exactly what we need.”
