Building strong consumer experiences and well-rounded lifestyle brands remain top of mind for Wolverine World Wide Inc. The company announced two key appointments on Tuesday in areas with strong potential for growth: direct-to-consumer and apparel and accessories.
Scott Sincerbeaux will join WWW from Godiva Chocolate as President of Consumer Direct, leading the company’s consumer-direct operations and omnichannel transformative initiatives. Sincerbeaux brings over 30 years of experience creating consumer experiences at retail. Prior to his role as vice president of North America Retail at Godiva, he held senior leadership positions with JCPenney, Crabtree & Evelyn, Ecco, Brown Shoe and several other footwear companies.
As part of this move, the Stride Rite Children’s Group will join WWW’s Consumer Direct division, enabling leadership to focus efforts and investments on a coordinated set of growth initiatives. Sincerbeaux will report directly to Blake Krueger, WWW’s Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President.
To coordinate goals and leadership of the apparel and accessories businesses for the company’s portfolio of lifestyle and performance brands, Tom Kennedy has been appointed to the newly created role of President of Apparel and Accessories. Kennedy, most recently the executive vice president for the Fossil Brand, will oversee WWW’s apparel and accessories plans around the world.
Before joining Fossil, Kennedy was a division president at PacSun, Nike vice president of U.S. apparel and held various senior roles with The Gap. He will also report directly to Krueger.
In a release, Krueger said, “I couldn’t be more excited about these appointments. We continue to focus and devote resources to accelerating our consumer-direct initiatives and building global lifestyle brands. Scott and Tom both add extensive and diverse experience to our team and deepen our already strong bench. They both have a strong consumer-centric background and will work to drive two of our most critical strategic growth initiatives as we continue to build our family of brands around the world.”
WWW recently appointed Richie Woodworth to lead its Lifestyle Group, which includes Hush Puppies, Keds, Sperry and Stride Rite brands.
The company’s portfolio includes Merrell, Saucony, Wolverine, Sebago, Cushe, Chaco, Bates, HYTEST and Soft Style. It is also the global footwear licensee of Cat and Harley-Davidson footwear. Its products are carried by leading retailers in the U.S. and globally in approximately 200 countries and territories.
