With “Wonder Woman 1984” finally in theaters and on HBO Max, fans will soon have a new way to show off their love for the classic superhero.
Warner Bros. teamed up with Biion Footwear for two pairs of Wonder Woman slip-on shoes—one for the kids and one for adults. The official footwear of “Wonder Woman 1984,” according to Biion, the limited-edition kicks were available for pre-sale on Dec. 21.
Inspired by Wonder Woman’s iconic costume, the shoes feature a ruby red body with the classic golden “W” emblem and star-spangled pattern splashed across the toebox, complementing a white midsole and yellow outsole. Like all of the company’s shoes, the new entrant sports a lightweight, flexible EVA material; ventilation holes throughout; antimicrobial composite; and a shock-absorbing innersole. Their design, Biion said, “allows for comfort and performance during activities like golfing, boating, as well as everyday life.”
“Fiction though it may be, the story of Wonder Woman is an inspiration that fundamentally lives in all of us,” Rick Buchanan, founder of Biion, said in a statement “When the opportunity to partner with Warner Bros. to release an exclusive shoe featuring this legendary hero arose, we knew immediately our customers would love the chance to walk like a warrior.”
Biion’s Wonder Woman shoes are available in unisex adult and kids sizes and retail for $110 and $60, respectively. The company did not mention when the superhero shoes will officially go on sale, but the website advises that pre-order items have an estimated delivery date of four to six weeks.
In addition to its new Wonder Woman shoes, Biion currently sells specialty Star Wars and Disney footwear. According to its website, it also counts Harry Potter, Pixar and Nickelodeon among its other partners.
