Marc Fisher Footwear Company Lands Multi-Year Licensing Deal with Calvin Klein

The Marc Fisher Footwear Company has entered into a licensing agreement with all-American brand Calvin Klein to produce the company’s shoes.

On Friday, the fashion footwear firm—which boasts a portfolio of recognizable U.S. footwear brands like Guess, Tommy Hilfiger, Tretorn, Easy Spirit, Bandolino, Nine West, and Sigerson Morrison along with its own eponymous labels, Marc Fisher and Marc Fisher Ltd.— said in a statement that it had entered into a multi-year partnership with Calvin Klein to produce women’s and men’s footwear for the U.S. and Canadian markets.

Calvin Klein was bought by fashion and lifestyle holding company PVH Corp. in 2003, which also owns Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, Izod, Arrow, Warner’s, Olga, Geoffrey Beene and True&Co.

The debut Calvin Klein footwear collections will be shown virtually at the Fashion Footwear Association of New York’s (FFANY) August show, and will launch in spring of 2021.

“We are thrilled to work with Calvin Klein to expand the product assortment to an even broader consumer market,” said founder and CEO Marc Fisher. “With the addition of Calvin Klein, we are taking significant steps to establish Marc Fisher Footwear as a leader in the footwear industry.” Fisher said his company looks forward to capturing future growth opportunities for Calvin Klein’s range of footwear in North American markets.

Susan Itzkowitz, the footwear firm’s president, said Calvin Klein’s “rich heritage in American fashion” made it an ideal addition to Marc Fisher’s portfolio. “Our expertise in design, sales, and sourcing will enable us to develop this powerhouse brand even further and build a strong business for Calvin Klein,” she added.

Cheryl Abel-Hodges, CEO of Calvin Klein, Inc., said the brand was looking forward to leveraging Marc Fisher’s industry knowledge in maximizing its potential in the region. “We trust their incredible design talent will connect to Calvin Klein’s strong brand DNA, and in combination with their robust distribution network, increase our presence and authority in the category,” she said.
