Fast-growing Cambridge, Mass. based footwear boutique Concepts, recently re-branded as Concepts International, has announced the appointment of Tre Lucas as president of the brand.

Concepts, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a series of highprofile collaborations, is banking on Lucas as it looks to expand from a boutique retailer to a global brand.

Before joining Concepts, Lucas held the position of senior vice president of operations at Centerplate, Inc.

“I’m very much looking forward to the challenge of working with the team to bring Concepts from a local retailer to a standalone global brand,” Lucas said in a statement. “All of the pieces are there so it is just a matter of putting them together in order to achieve the next level of success and expansion. The talent level at Concepts is unmatched and I have full confidence that there will be very big things to come soon.”

Concepts recently opened their second flagship store on the border of New York City’s Tribeca and SoHo neighborhoods. For their next location Lucas is responsible for setting up shop in Dubai, expected to open as early as the spring of 2016.
