Christian Louboutin to Open Houston Boutique In 2016

Where are fashion’s priorities? How sustainability will fare post pandemic is just one of many open questions. Join SJ on July 15 at 11 am for a webinar on how the crisis will affect future sourcing decisions and how to better measure progress.

Christian Louboutin will open its 19th U.S. boutique next fall in Houston, Texas. The store will be located The Galleria, a premium shopping center owned by Simon, and will offer the brand’s men’s and women’s footwear, handbags and small leather goods.

It will be Christian Louboutin’s second location in the Lone Star State. The luxury label currently has a store in Dallas.

The shoe boutique will be in good company. The Webster, La Perla, Tod’s and Céline are located at The Galleria.

“There is significant consumer demand for additional luxury retailers and The Galleria is pleased to be the first to welcome this exclusive brand,” said John Rulli, chief operating officer of malls and chief administrative officer of Simon.

Simon recently completed a $30 million renovation of the shopping mall to complement the construction of a new Saks Fifth Avenue flagship slated to open next spring. In total, the retail developer is investing $250 million to further elevate The Galleria’s premium shopping experience.

During a 2012 visit to Texas, Louboutin shared his fondness for state to CultureMap, saying, “Outside of America, people think of Texas as a very masculine state, but there is something also very feminine about it. Texans are very warm and super friendly.”
