Cyber Monday remains the largest online sales day ever.
Adobe data confirmed that Cyber Monday broke a new record with $3.39 billion spent online, which was a 10.2% year-over-year increase. Although Black Friday achieved $3.34 billion in sales, Cyber Monday reigned over holiday retail days this year.
“Cyber Monday is on track to be the biggest online shopping day ever, surpassing our forecast by almost $27 million or 0.8 percent,” said Adobe Digital Insights principal analyst Tamara Gaffney. “This indicates that consumers still had more appetite for online shopping despite the incredible volume of online sales on Black Friday.”
