Foot Locker, Inc. has teamed up with Reebok and Adidas for two exclusive collections.
The footwear retailing giant tapped the WNBA’s Tamera Young and NBA’s Josh Richardson to promote it and Reebok’s Classic Leather Threads collection. The range draws inspiration from the basketball players’ hobbies, with different colored embroidered threads representing their distinctive off-court passions, be it the Seattle Storm player’s philanthropic efforts in Atlanta or the Dallas Mavericks guard’s love for DJing.
The broad collection offers a variety of colorways, including black/white, red/white, navy, blue/white, black, yellow/white, orange/white and fuchsia/white for men, women and children. Pricing for the styles range from $40 to $80. The collection debuted Tuesday at Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Footaction, Champs Sports and Champs Sports Canada.

Foot Locker also joined forces with Adidas last week to release a collection of sneakers, apparel and accessories celebrating “sneaker culture.”
The “All Day I Dream About Sneakers” pack includes two new Superstar designs—one in black with white detailing and the other in white with black detailing—and a special white colorway of Adidas’ ZX 2K sneaker with black and yellow touches. The lineup also features both the brand’s NMD R1 and NMD R1.V2, the first in black with white and yellow hits and the latter in yellow with black details.

The A.D.I.D.A.S. collection also offers pants, hoodies, a jacket, graphic T-shirts, an adjustable cap, socks and fanny packs. It debuted Wednesday in-store and online exclusively at Champs Sports, Foot Locker, Footaction, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports Canada.
Adidas drops another trail shoe
Later this week, Adidas will debut the latest iteration of its Terrex Swift hiking shoe. The Terrex Swift R3, arriving a decade after the classic silhouette’s debut, will represent “the fastest, most versatile footwear in the Terrex collection,” Adidas said.

The brand said it designed the shoe for all skill levels, conditions and terrains. Constructed with a full-length Lightstrike midsole, the Terrex Swift R3 boasts pro-moderator support and protection for lateral midfoot stability during long hikes. A continental rubber outsole provides 32 percent more grip across rocks, mud and loose ground, Adidas said. A plate in the forefoot protects against rocks. Finally, a locked-in heel allows the heel to sit deeper in the shoe, securing the fit and countering the risk of injury.
The Terrex Swift R3 will hit Adidas’ website Thursday for $130.
Earlier this month, Adidas dropped the Terrex Speed Ultra. The shoe marked the culmination of two years of development and testing by elite British ultrarunner Tom Evans. The trail running shoe features a Boost Lightstrike midsole, a moisture-wicking upper, a reinforced heel with anti-slip lining and a tongue construction with six lace points for “a glove-like fit and mid-foot lockdown.” Rounding out the performance features is an outsole inspired by gravel road bike tires.
The Terrex Speed Ultra launched in a pastel-covered, pink-and-green design. A subtler, black-and-white composition is slated to arrive April 20, according to Adidas’ website.
