Just days of launching a shop-in-shop inside the stately Goodman’s Men’s store on Fifth Avenue, Kith Founder Ronnie Fieg staged the iconic streetwear store’s first fashion show in New York City on Tuesday
The show, co-produced with Samsung, was livestreamed to the brand’s online site as well as the storefronts of each retail location around the country. The runway collection featured footwear collaborations with A Bathing Ape, Asics, Adidas, Timberland and more, as well as Kith-branded sweatshirts, bomber jackets and pullover windbreakers.
The latest edition of New York Fashion Week will go down as the one that officially broke the barrier between designer runway and athletic runway.
While some shows were more successful than others, the week began with the debut of Yeezy Season 4, followed by Rihanna’s Fenty launch with Puma and Alexander Wang’s surprise see-now, buy-now collection with Adidas.
