Madewell Recalls Sandals Due to Fall Hazard

Madewell is recalling 50,600 pairs of their Sightseer sandals from the Spring ’15 collection after eight people reported metal shanks dislodging and breaking through the bottom of the outsole.

The shoes were sold at Madewell stores and online, as well as at, from February 2015 to July 2015 for $60-$80. The shoes were manufactured in Brazil.

Though no injuries have yet been reported, the CPSC suggests that consumers immediately stop wearing the recalled shoes and return them to Madewell for a full refund.

The brand recalled the following 10 styles in all sizes.
