Michael Kors Opens Its Largest Store

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Michael Kors opened its largest store to date on Jan. 29 at 520 Broadway in SoHo. The three-story, 22,000-square-foot store represents many firsts for the company, including the debut of menswear in the brand’s retail stores, and its first men’s footwear collection.

The store will also be one of a few locations to introduce the Michael Kors Jet Set 6, which includes six seasonally-updated women’s footwear styles. This season’s collection includes the Irving leather sneaker in white leather with bright laces and embossed snakeskin accents at the heel and tongue, the Kristen kitten heel with snake-pattern embossed leather and a low stiletto heel and the Walton Suede Ankle Boot with a wrap-around strap.

“I’m very excited to be opening our largest store in the world, and to have it be in SoHo,” Michael Kors said. “New York City is my home and the source of so much of my inspiration as a designer. It’s a thrill to be able to offer my customers here such an amazing shopping experience.”
