Stitch Fix, the online personal styling service that sends women clothing based on surveyed preferences, recently introduced the same service for men.
Stitch Fix Men, which will offer clothing and footwear from over 50 brands, will send each customer five items based on a survey with a virtual stylist. Customers can then keep or return any of the five items, and are offered 25 percent off their entire order when they keep all five.
Stitch Fix Men’s survey begins with general questions regarding age, weight and height followed by asking the customer to specify his profession (categories ranging from science, to self-employed or stay-at-home dad). Stitch Fix will then ask questions regarding the client’s build (slim, athletic or “husky”) and continue onto the style section in which they ask the customer how often they might wear casual or professional clothing, what clothing stores they frequent and how much they would be willing to spend on different items like a button-up shirt or a sweater.
At end of the survey the customer can decide how often they want to receive boxes of five curated items which can be as frequent as every two weeks or as infrequent as every three months. Stitch Fix customers are not obligated to buy any of the clothing sent to them in the box and their style settings can always be modified from their online account.
