COVID-19 recovery is on the horizon but the pandemic's impact on sustainability, retail, product development and consumer buying patterns means the denim industry must evolve. Join Rivet on April 20th at 11 am ET for the COVID, One Year Later roundtable.

A month after announcing plans to recreate FN PLATFORM in New York City in 2017, the show’s organizers, UBM, announced Tuesday that Sole Commerce will remain its sole East Coast shoe show.

FN PLATFORM will continue to take place twice a year in Las Vegas.

Beginning in 2017, UBM said Sole Commerce will offer an expanded selection of women’s and junior footwear brands. Additionally, a new space, Sole Commerce Collections, will be centrally located between Coterie and UBM’s recent acquisitions, the BJI shows. Sole Commerce Collections will focus on women’s luxury footwear labels.

According to the FN PLATFORM team, the joining of shows “ensures the best possible ready-to-wear buyer cross shopping traffic with footwear brands sitting in the center of these apparel shows.”

Sole Commerce and Sole Commerce Collections will take place Feb. 27-March 1, 2017 at the Jacob Javits Center.
