K-Swiss announced last week the debut of a new high-performance tennis shoe, Knitshot.
Made with a new laser constructed K-nit material, the Knitshot offers comfort with low elasticity, a unique abrasion thread that is also used in vehicle armor, body armor and even rock climbing gear.
The tennis shoe also boasts GuideGlide construction, putting lower density foam under the foot for long-lasting cushioning, and firmer foam around the outside for support and stability for athletes.
“The Knitshot is unparalleled to other knit products out in the market. We designed this shoe with the player’s needs in mind, providing comfort and support where they need it most, helping to enhance their game on the court to achieve peak performance,” said Mike Miringoff, K-Swiss global director of tennis.
Adding to the long list of features, the shoe also supplies an Ortholite sockliner to manage moisture as well as anti-mocrobial elements to ensure cool and dry feet. And finally, the new outsole has three technologies, including DragGuard—located in areas prone to erosion in the toe and heel for a longer lasting shoe, making the shoe optimal for high-performance players.
The shoe is available starting Jan. 9, and sells for $155 at specialty retail stores, authorized partnered websites and on the K-Swiss website.
