Stride Rite Launches Redesign Baby Bootie

Style and technology has evolved but Stride Rite’s commitment to offering quality footwear for children continues. The heritage shoe brand is launching the Bailey, a redesigned baby bootie based on the nostalgic white shoe introduced in 1931.

The revamped shoe is part of Stride Rite’s SRTech line with new stability and comfort features, including memory foam soles. SRTech soles have been updated from leather to lighter rubber with increased slip resistance and flexibility. The rounded athletic sole encourages a more natural gait, and a new sensory pod design supports health strike and forefoot pressure points.

“The classic white lace-up bootie is a symbol of Stride Rite’s rich heritage and experience in children’s footwear, so it was essential to get the redesign right—both with the styling and the structure of the shoe. To give moms and dads a more modern first shoe for baby, we gave the Bailey upper a sleek and sporty makeover and have developed the shoe in classic white, as well as metallic pink,” said Stride Rite Creative Director Marc Loverin.

The Bailey will be available beginning on June 25 on StrideRite.com, retailing for $52.00. Size availability in white includes sizes 3-7 in medium-width, wide, and extra wide. Size availability in pink metallic includes sizes 3-7 in medium-width and wide.
