The annual QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” Gala benefitting breast cancer research and education took place in New York City on Tuesday at The Ziegfeld Ballroom NYC.
The gala was the first event in the nearly 10,000-square-foot renovated space. The night commenced with “pink” carpet arrivals, a cocktail reception and a pop-up Designer Shoe Salon, featuring discounted footwear from Frye, Jimmy Choo, Marc Jacobs, SJP Collection and more.
Actress Mandy Moore, Martha Stewart and TV personality Jill Martin were among the guests, as well as honorees Alexandre Birman (Designer of the Year), Patrick Wayne (Jodi & Jerome Fisher Humanitarian Award) and Zappos GM Jeff Espersen (Retailer of the Year Award).
Other guests included designers Dennis Basso, Isa Tapia, Sam Edelman, Mark Badgley and James Mischka.
The annual gala is the largest fundraiser in the footwear industry and all proceeds directly benefit the fight against breast cancer.
On Oct. 12, QVC will air a live three-hour broadcast to benefit breast cancer research and education. Approximately 140 styles will be offered at half the manufacturer’s suggested retail price with a minimum of 80 percent of the purchase price benefitting various breast cancer research and education institutions.
In addition, customers can shop the “Shoe of the Day” on QVC’s website weekdays throughout the month of October.
To date, QVC Presents “FFANY Shoes on Sale” has raised over $53 million to fund “first-step” breast cancer research at some of the nation’s leading research organizations.
