A Church Brings New Meaning to the Saying ‘The Higher the Heel, The Closer to God’

We’re all a little guilty of worshiping our shoe collections, so there may as well be a church shaped like one.

The Daily Mail reported that a small, seaside town in Taiwan completed the construction of a high heel-shaped church, designed to draw a larger and more loyal female congregation.

The church, which stands 55 feet tall and is 36 feet wide, took two months to build. The building is made out of 320 frames of Cinderella-like blue glass and will eventually incorporate 100 “female-oriented” features, including chairs for couples, biscuits and cakes.

The haute house of God is slated to open before the Chinese New Year on Feb. 8. The Daily Mail said it is unclear about what type of church it is.
