Adidas & Pharrell Williams Holds Court in New York City

As the U.S. Open gets into full swing in Flushing, Queens, Adidas is launching a city-wide campaign that celebrates the game of tennis and how the sport can be a vehicle for change.

The campaign, Quite Please, kicked off in Harlem last weekend with a star-studded tennis event, including Adidas collaborator Pharrell Williams, Stan Smith and a team of Adidas sponsored tennis athletes.

During the event, Williams delivered a manifesto inviting New Yorkers to join him in a citywide activation encouraging people to believe in their voice and inspire change through love. To spread the campaign throughout the city, Adidas is placing umpire chairs across New York City to act as stage for people to express themselves.

Adidas and Williams also announced a community program including the restoration of a New York City tennis court through a donation to the New York City Parks Department and children’s tennis scholarships in partnership with Court16 and Horizons.

Williams recently put his stamp on tennis gear with his first performance collection, the Adidas Tennis Collection by Pharrell Williams. Athletes will wear the collection during their upcoming tennis matches in New York.
