The gold may not be real, but don’t be fooled, Adidas’ new gold-tinted shoe with NBA star Damian Lillard is the real deal.
The German footwear giant has announced the release of a special “Fool’s Gold” edition of the D Lillard 2 for April 1. Inspired by the California gold rush and the gritty determination of the miners who dug there, the silhouette is designed with a gold foil upper and paired with matching hits on the tongue, laces and midsole splatter. Night gray accents are treated with a matte finish while an iced green outsole, laces and Dame branding cap off the California tribute.
The D Lillard 2 “Fool’s Gold” retails for $105 through Adidas in-store and online.
