Who says race car driving isn’t a sport?
Adidas by Stella McCartney, one of Adidas’ many high-profile fashion collaborations, announced last week its new promotional campaign featuring world-renowned F1 driver Carmen Jorda.
Adidas says that the Spanish race car driver is a perfect representation of a modern and physically active lifestyle, and a strong female role model.
“I am so proud to have joined the Adidas by Stella McCartney family. I work in a very male-dominated industry, so I constantly have to prove I deserve to be where I am. I think it’s important to encourage women to push themselves to carve out their own paths and I look forward to doing that with Adidas by Stella McCartney,” said Jorda.
About the collaboration, McCartney said “Carmen is an inspiration to women everywhere and proof that anything is possible if you challenge yourself. It’s been ten years since we introduced the concept of stylish, technology-led sportswear, back when no one thought it was possible to combine the two. Since then, we’ve gone from strength-to-strength and Carmen epitomizes that journey. We couldn’t be happier to be working with her.”
