Aerosoles Announces New Management

Aerosoles announced Thursday the promotion of Sandy Coviello to chief product officer, a role recently created, and the rehiring of Alena Margolis as senior vice president and general manager, USA wholesale and First Cost.

The changes in management for the comfort footwear company come during a time of new ventures, after launching an online catalog last month.

“Sandy and Alena bring strong industry and company knowledge into their new roles,” said Aerosoles CEO R. Shawn Neville. “I look forward to working closely with both of them and the rest of the organization to continue to evolve the brand and our products to be the leading performance fashion brand in the world empowering women to feel smarter, sexier, confident and inspired every occasion of their lives.”

Coviello’s new role comes with the responsibility of leading design and technology innovation, product development and merchandising across all of the company’s ventures. She has more than 18 years of experience with the company, working in sales, merchandising and general management.

“I am very passionate about my new role creating products our consumers love and that look and feel great,” said Coviello. “We have been focused on accelerating both our fashion relevance and performance technologies which improve comfort, fit, support, and energy return to help consumers live better and look great.”

Margolis worked for Aerosoles early on in her career, and returns after serving most recently as vice president of sales for Anne Klein. Both Margolis and Coviello begin their new roles immediately.

“I am fortunate to be re-joining Aerosoles with its rich history and even more compelling future with the brand’s new vision and mission. I have always loved Aerosoles and look forward to working with the organization and our retail and dot-com partners to build an even stronger future together,” said Margolis.
