Under Armour is digging deeper into wellness. The brand introduced its first-ever Athlete Recovery Sleepwear at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas on Thursday, aimed at helping athletes maintain top-notch sleep patterns for better on-field performance.
The premier of the technology comes in conjunction with the brand’s new line of recovery-focused Record Equipped running shoes.
The sleepwear incorporates bioceramics technology into a pattern lining the garments, which are designed to maximize comfort and fit. The pattern includes special bioceramic particles that absorb infrared wavelengths emitted by the body and reflect back Far Infrared, helping the body recover faster while promoting better sleep.
“We are providing athletes with untapped insight and guidance into the importance of sleep and recovery in a way that’s truly unique to Under Armour—with with a revolutionary Sleep Recovery System that was created for athletes, by athletes,” said Kevin Haley, Under Armour president of innovation and category management.
The company also introduced an update to the UA Record app, including a sleep recovery system feature allowing users to gain a deeper understanding their sleep schedule.
Under Armour’s Athlete Recovery Sleepwear retails for $80-$100 and is available now on UA.com and at select Under Armour Brand Houses. The new line of Record Equipped running footwear retails for $140-$160 and is available for pre-order now on UA.com, with a launch date of Feb. 1.
