Under Armour Names Lance Allega VP of Investor Relations

Under Armour could make its investors happy in 2017, if it continues to capitalize on its growth in the athletic apparel market and repeat its strong third quarter performance.

As a part of its growth strategy, Under Armour announced executive changes. Lance Allega was named the new VP of investor relations for the athletic company. Allega will be responsible for communicating all of Under Armour’s plans for growth, financial performance, key business metrics providing guidance for investors and working on building long term shareholder value. His new role is effective Jan. 23.

Allega joins Under Armour after serving as the head of investor relations for VF Corp. and 20 years of investor relations experience working for Nike, Oakley Sony and Accenture.

“As we continue our global expansion, it is critical that we further sharpen our ability to communicate our vision of growth and expertise in managing our diverse portfolio of strategic investments,” said CEO of Under Armour Kevin Plank in a statement. “Lance has a proven track record in the industry and I’m excited to add new talent to our seasoned team of leaders in the Company.”
