Asics & Packer Shoes Welcomes US Open with Collection

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Asics is calling “game, set, match” in time for the US Open with a new limited-edition collection with Philadelphia-based shop Mitchell & Ness and New Jersey-based Packer Shoes.

The new capsule collection features tennis-inspired sneakers, apparel and accessories that includes vintage tennis-inspired apparel pieces such as the Mitchell & Ness Arthur Ashe Track Jacket, court-ready polos and shorts, tees, pullovers, windbreakers and more.

Among the shoes present in the collection are some Asics classics, including the Gel-Lyte III and Gel-Sight TM models, as well as a reimagined Gel-Resolution 6.

The limited edition collection will be released through a special pop-up in New York City at Grand Central Station’s Vanderbilt Hall from Aug. 30-Sept. 1, ranging in price from $30-$150. The Asics/Onitsuka Tiger footwear ranges from $100-$160 across the five silhouettes.
