Blundstone Announces Sponsorship of Australians in Film Scholarship

Australian boot brand Blundstone, known for its support of the film industry, is giving back to a member of its local community through a new sponsorship of the Australians in Film Scholarship.

At a ceremony held last week in Beverly Hills, the 2016 Australians in Film scholarship was awarded to rising star Ashleigh Cummings, who will receive financial and networking support to further her career, along with runners-up Harley Bonner and Sara West.

“Blundstone has a natural affinity with the film industry and we are proud to be associated with a cause that provides a young filmmaker with the opportunity to further his/her career,” said Andrew Ross, Blundstone international sales executive. “We are honored to be part of AiF as a way to connect to our roots in an industry that has always been so supportive of the brand.”

Throughout the years, Blundstone has proven to be the go-to boot within the film industry both on and off screen. Highlights of Blundstone’s presence on television and in feature films has included titles such as Transformers 4, Criminal Minds, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and Californication, among others.
