Australian boot brand Blundstone has announced it will sponsor Meg Ryan’s directorial debut Ithaca, set to debut on March 31 at the Sonoma International Film Festival (SIFF).

Based on The Human Comedy by William Saroyan, and starring Ryan, Jack Quaid, Sam Shepard, Hamish Linklater and Alex Neustaedter, Ithaca tells the tale of a young boy determined to become the best and fastest bicycle telegraph messenger in his city.

Blundstone has sponsored several industry festivals throughout its history, including its recent sponsorship of the Hollywood Reporter Lounge at Sundance and its upcoming and continued sponsorship of the Hamptons International Film Festival.

“Filmmakers have had a natural affinity towards Blundstone and we look forward to expanding our brand presence at the Sonoma International Film Festival through our sponsorship of Meg Ryan’s film Ithaca,” said Andrew Ross, Blundstone international sales executive. “The landscape at Sonoma is the perfect setting for our brand and we’re thrilled to continue to give back and support the industry.”
