Western and work footwear retailer Boot Barn gives back to active soldiers overseas through its Socks for Soldiers initiative.
Socks for Soldiers is a partnership with Operation: Care and Comfort, which distributes donations through individual care packages to troops.
Customers can purchase and donate socks or other designated items at Boot Barn stores nationwide between Nov. 2-12. Requested products include socks, T-shirts, baseball caps, CDs and underwear. Shoppers can also write letters to the troops to be sent with the care packages.
Boot Barn will donate a portion of the proceeds to Operation: Care and Comfort.
“The Boot Barn Team cares deeply about our troops overseas and we know that our customers do as well,” said Jeffrey Scott Gomez, VP of stores at Boot Barn. “Our Socks for Soldiers event is a great opportunity to bring our store teams together with the people in their communities to show support for our troops who are a long way from home.”
Gomez continued, “We’re extremely proud to work with organizations like Operation: Care and Comfort which support our troops on a daily basis.”
